Kai has a strong passion for nature and the environment. Originally, he is from Germany, but grew up in Singapore and Japan, and is now living in Perth. Travelling and working in Australia before commencing university was a key driver in his personal development. He discovered scuba diving and underwater photography which has only strengthened his love for the ocean. He completed his Bachelor at UWA with a double major in Environmental Science and Marine Science, and then worked at the Sea Around Us - Indian Ocean as a research assistant.
