Dillon is an undergraduate student in his final year at the University of Western Australia, completing a BSc in Marine Biology and Oceanography. He works with DPIRD (WA Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development) in a voluntary capacity, where he aged fish using otoliths and performed basic stock assessments using R studio with Corey Wakefield and Alex Hesp. Dillon joined the Sea Around Us – Indian Ocean in May 2024 to work with fisheries data and develop a greater understanding of fisheries impacts on marine ecosystems. He has an intense passion for R coding and fisheries science, and hopes to improve his capabilities both as a marine scientist and a quantitative analyst in Australia and his home country of Singapore.
